Where are hard corals known to exist in Australia's N and NW Key Ecological Features?
Researchers from Project D1 of the Marine Biodiversity Hub of the National Environmental Science Programme present this interactive map-based summary of where hard corals are known to exist in the Key Ecological Features of the N and NW regions.
Data were obtained from the Atlas of Living Australia and the Australian Institute of Marine Science. As our aim in collating this data was to identify locations where hard corals had ever been observed, we retained all data regardless of age. The data contains records of where hard corals are known to exist, but none where they are known to be absent.
